This was a nice little Sunday interview with Debbie Wasserman Schultz. I especially like the creative phrase she uses to describe the cancellations — “transition letters.”
As for the claim that people are generally being “transitioned” into better plans with better benefits, I’ve seen no evidence of this. She should maybe ask this guy in Miami, whose premium is nearly doubling even as he gets a plan with a deductible $10,000 higher than the one he had. It’s also rather amusing that suddenly Wasserman Schultz wants us to believe something on the word of an insurance executive.
