Continuing the trend set in 2010, the Tea Party presses ahead with mixed results in primaries around the country this week.

Fox News reports Kansas incumbent Sen. Pat Roberts easily held off a challenge from Tea Party-backed Milton Wolf in a 48-41, split. And Michigan Tea Party incumbent Rep. Kerry Bentivolio was ousted by an establishment candidate David Trott.

But Reps. Tim Huelskamp, Justin Amash and Mike Pompeo all skated past challengers to hold the seats they won in the 2010 Tea Party surge.

Those victories are added to the Tea Party trophy shelf along with the ousters earlier this year of Ralph Hall and Eric Cantor, House Majority Leader. That the Tea Party continues to rack up wins is testimony to the reality that Americans in general, and Republicans specifically, have little patience with Congress and the White House.
