Breightbart bucks the trend as media outlets continue in an apparent strategy to hide what is becoming increasingly difficult to miss: the nation’s voters are moving in the Republican direction on every issue that matters in the upcoming midterm elections.

In its most recent poll, the Associated Press discounted results showing a clear trend toward the Republican Party heading into the November showdown.CIB080814-DemvsRep

When asked which party they would prefer running Congress, respondents have given Republicans an increase of 6 points since May. On the subject of the who is handling the economy well, respondents have given the GOP an increase of 4 points over the last 90 days.

The same trend is apparent in the major issues:

On the federal budget and healthcare, the GOP has improved 5 points and 3 points, respectively, over CIB080814-DemvsRepIssuesthe same time period. And on the hot-button issue of immigration, which shows no signs of abating between now and November, the Democrat advantage has vanished. The GOP now is controlling the issue with a 4-point favor-ability.

Similarly, on managing the federal government and economy, respondents give Republicans a clear lead.
